Bump Grave is found in Moore Town, Portland, and is regarded as the final resting place of the legendary ‘Nanny of the Maroons’, chieftainess and leader of the Windward Maroons. She is Jamaica’s only national heroine among a tally of seven. The spot is commemorated with a monument and a storyboard.
Bump Grave was declared by the Jamaica National Heritage Trust on the 10th of May 2007.
