About this site

Easington, formerly located in the parish of St. David, has several national heritage sites. These sites, now located in St. Thomas, are Easington Square, Judgement Cliff, and the Easington Suspension Bridge Piers.

The Easington Suspension Bridge was built to solve the problems left by the 1692 earthquake and the 1815 hurricane, which left little to no access to transportation. While the bridge no longer exists, the stone towers remain visible on both sides of the river.
