Easington Civic Square

Easington, formerly located in the parish of St. David, has several national heritage sites. The sites now located in St. Thomas are Easington Square, Judgement Cliff, and the Easington Suspension Bridge Piers.

Easington Square was built in 1965 to commemorate the Morant Bay Rebellion of 1865. It is believed that Paul Bogle and his followers rested in the square during their march to Spanish Town to meet the Governor, Edward Eyre. A plaque is currently in place to honour its significance.
