The Parish Church of St. Ann, St. Ann's Bay

The St. Ann Parish Church was completed in September 1871, and was consecrated by His Lordship, the Bishop of Kingston, Rt. Reverend Reginald Courtney on Wednesday, September 20, 1871, as the Church of 'St. Anne'. The contract to erect the Parish Church was awarded to Climie, a Colonial Engineer.

The main walls of this late nineteenth-century church are constructed of cut stone. Along each elevation of the building is a series of pointed arch windows. Between each window bay are buttresses. The apse of the Church is of a semi-octagonal shape, with buttresses at the corners of each side, between which are pointed-arch stained-glass windows, with the largest being at the east end of the building.
