St. Ann's Bay Court House

Declared 19 March 2020 · St. Ann · Court Houses

St. Ann’s Bay Courthouse stands as one of the oldest and most historic buildings in St. Ann. Before its construction, court proceedings were held in a shared building with the parish church. This building housed several offices for judges, police and clerks.

The courthouse is a two-storey Georgian-style building that has been renovated over the years to currently house the Municipal offices, the mayor’s office and bailiffs. It currently remains one of the earliest law enforcement buildings in Jamaica.
