About this site

Constructed in 1866, the St. Ann’s Bay Courthouse stands as one of the oldest and most historic buildings in St. Ann’s Bay. It is a two-storey, Georgian-style, stone and brick building with grand entry steps and a pedimented portico.

Before its construction, court proceedings were held in a shared building with the parish church. The courthouse housed several offices for judges, police, and clerks. It has been renovated over the years to currently house the Municipal offices, the Mayor’s office and the bailiffs’ office. Many of its original features are still apparent.
