About this site
The Spanish Town Railway station is a Jamaica/Georgian style brick building set on a stone base. The roof overhang on the northern side of the structure is supported by timber posts and wall-mounted cast-iron brackets. On the southern side, the roof overhang is supported by wall-mounted timber brackets. The facade of the structure contains sash windows and solid recessed panel doors. The entire structure is covered with a long zinc hip roof. The station was built in 1845.
