About this site

The Old Priory Church Ruin was one of the first Anglican churches in St. Ann. The exact date of its construction is unknown, but it was most likely built around the mid-18th century. The site has been relocated several times, including the movement of the tombstones on the property from Laughlands to St. Ann’s Bay in 1871.

The structure is a brick building in the Georgian Style, with a cross-shaped floor layout. It is currently without a roof or doors but still stands as an important piece of Jamaica’s history.
