Falmouth is one of the best-preserved Georgian towns in the Caribbean. Founded in 1769, the town features an outstanding collection of Georgian architecture including the courthouse, the parish church, and numerous merchant houses. The town had piped water before New York City, reflecting its 18th-century prosperity as a sugar port.
